Tasting notes

Riesling is a natural derivative of Gouais Blanc, an esoteric French grape that is grandmother to many well known wines including Chardonnay, Riesling, Petit Verdot, Chenin Blanc and Muscatel. Crazy huh? And it kicks ass in Washington state. Almost completely dry, with aromas and flavors of citrus blossoms, clean crisp apple, peach and Asian pear, honeysuckle and ginger, Birdie finishes with the minerality of crushed rocks. Delicious now, but age worthy as well.
