Tasting notes

Baba is the name Kelly’s Mom was given when she became Grandmother of Ruby and Stella. It is also our stunning Super Tuscan blend. The 2016 is deep and concentrated, richly textured and lush. Explosive on the attack, with notes of sandalwood, campfire smoke, black cherries, orange peel and crushed rock, the Sangio for the Baba was pressed with La Traviatablaring and pasta on the table. Pretty cool thing, like the deep and abiding love of a Grandmother.  A seriously limited special offering for our Ring of Fire Wine Club members.

Our first extry Tuscan was produced in 2015 as a wine club exclusive. The Brunello clone of Sangiovese was sourced from Boushey Vineyard in the Yakima Valley. Once the fermentation was dry we loaded the press, turned La Traviata up to eleven, busted up some lasagne and Brunello di Montalcino and let Elvis the Press do the rest. Lovely red fruit and flowers flowers flowers.
