Tasting notes

Firmly structured and very much a cabernet sauvignon in aromatic personality and tactile expression. Black currant, dried herbs, cigar box, Earl Grey tea, black cherry, and dark chocolate are entwined in this lovely now but gonna be stupendous in a few years bottle of wine. Polished, supple, sleek, then unfolds into a lyrical dance of layers, textures, aromas, flavors and a long silky finish.

Food Pairing: Steak and baked potato, old school like. Or roasted mushrooms and mashers.

FOUNDERS’ NOTES:
First produced in 2012, Holler is named for Red Hollow, the place where Chris's parents live in Knoxville, Tennessee. The theory behind the wine is simple: once the barrels for Kingpin, Rainmaker and Evermore are selected, the remaining barrels (plus some other Bordeaux varietals) become Holler. These barrels are good enough to become the #21 wine in the world on Wine Spectator's 2016 Top 100.This wine heads our over delivery tier, having received a 94 point score for the 2013. Tastes great too.
