Our last vintage (for now), 2019 L’Autre Pinot Noir from Temperance Hill Vineyard once again shows a lively, vibrant, yet rich and earthy, age worthy style. 40% whole cluster in the fermentation adds earthy, foresty, Asian spice aromas to its fresh red fruit core of raspberry, rhubarb and wild strawberry flavors. We love this Pinot Noir for the way it delivers delicate, complex and funky riffs and evolves into a Burgundian style panoply of experiences.
Food pairing: roasted salmon with chanterelle butter or wild mushroom pot pie

In 2009 we were able to source some lovely pinot noir from Temperance Hill Vineyard in the Willamette Valley to make L'Autre. Mostly because we love pinot noir, especially from Burgundy, and this plays like that, producing elegant, nuanced, age worthy, earthy, haunting. We called it L'Autre and outfitted it with a red label because it is truly an outlier from another state and another state of mind.
