2021 Evermore Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting notes
Our tenth vintage of Evermore comes from gnarly ancient Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted at Dionysus Vineyard in 1973 and Boushey Vineyard in 1980. A glorious nose of dusty earth, herbs, black currant, and crushed stone leads to a palate loaded with elegant flavors of black cherry, blackberry, rosemary, sweet oak and cinnamon, all wrapped in fine, silky tannins. This beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon will endure and evolve for a generation or more.

FOUNDERS’ NOTES
If they made 100% Cabernet Sauvignon in the Bordeaux village of Pauillac, it would taste a lot like Evermore. Elegant with all the stuff, not too much. We poured the lovely 2014 at the Wine Spectator New York Wine Experience to rave reviews. Also, really tasty.

"The ’21 Evermore old-vine Cabernet Sauvignon that comes from plantings that are more than 40 years of age from the Boushey and Dionysus Vineyards. Very complex and elegant with refined tannins, this is a stunning edition of this wine. Silky smooth throughout the drinking experience, this offers kirsch and tar notes that mingle well with red bell pepper, dark currants and dusty soils. A world-class bottling that shows excellent poise in this warm vintage, enjoy now and over the next fifteen plus years. Drink 2025-2040"
