For years we’ve been enthusiastic about finding an extra special single block Cabernet Sauvignon in the cellar and celebrating it by bottling the two best barrels. In 2020 that happened with this amazing wine from Block 36 at Stillwater Creek. Made with Clone 191 Cabernet Sauvignon planted in 2000, this wine saw almost two years in 100% new French oak.
The wine erupts from the glass with a nose of black cherry, blackberry, cedar, stone and dark chocolate. On the palate it’s a dense, supple, even unctuous, tapestry of rich, expressive boysenberry, cherry compote, black currant, fig, and sweet vanilla, all wrapped in fine, silky tannins. Its deep and complex flavors, superb balance, richness and power make this special and very limited Cabernet Sauvignon a thing to behold.

"A very polished and refined cabernet full of black and blue fruit, this is layered with violets, graphite and spice-box nuances. Full but not heavy in the mouth, it has silky tannins that are well defined and compact. Succulent and fleshy too, leading to a long, creamy finish. Drink from 2028."

"The 2020 ‘En Theos’ comes from the Stillwater Creek Vineyard. It is very inky in the glass, offering dark currants, pencil lead and shades of sweet pipe tobacco on the nose. The palate is dense and heady with a silky texture and great sense of weight. Coming off clean and loaded with dark fruits, enjoy now and over the next five to seven years. Drink 2025-2031"
