2021 Preposterous Malbec
What is it about Malbec? One of the five classic Bordeaux grapes, Malbec is different from all the rest. They - Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot - all have small berries, thick, dense skins and are typically slow to color up in a fermentation. Not Malbec! Thinnish skin, bigger juicy berries and it turns inky in a few days during fermentation. Supple, sexy and just plain delicious. No wonder folks love it so.
Sooooo, let's celebrate this wondrous thing called Malbec. This week enjoy a preposterous deal on our incredible award-winning midnight dark monster, the 2021 Preposterous Malbec.
Normally $48 a bottle, this week we offer you employee pricing. That's right half off! This is the steal of spring, the theft of Thursday, the malfeasance of International Malbec Day! Or just a really nice thing we are doing so you can stain yourself silly with sumptuous, silky deep dark delicious Malbec.
Order now, as this is a very limited offering! Since this is such a preposterous deal, no additional discounts apply please!

Tasting notes
Malbec: preposterously luxuriant: this is an American wine: immediately gratifying, big and bold: ever so slightly unconcerned about historical context: hell bent for leather, as they say. Supple, silky, but firmly structured. “Guilty pleasure this wine is.” - Yoda
Food Pairing: Garlic honey smoked duck or Roasted crimini mushrooms wtih Maytag blue cheese.
Movie Pairing: Apocalypse Now
FOUNDERS' NOTES:
Preposterous was launched in 2009, a complete shot in the dark. Malbec is a strange thin-skinned on the outside, neon green eyeball on the inside kind of grape that goes black in the fermenter on day three of the fermentation. Kind of odd. Wine Spectator 94 point 2010 vintage is still the highest scoring malbec in Washington State history. Preposterous.

"The 2021 ‘Preposterous’ is mainly Malbec with 15% Syrah blended in. Stored in only 15% new French oak barrels, this delivers beautiful black florals that combine with cocoa powder, fresh thyme and suggestions of creme de violette. The palate is fresh and beautifully textured with a smooth mouthfeel. Medium to full-bodied and delicious, enjoy now and over the next eight to ten years. Drink 2025-2033"
