Tasting notes
The ninth vintage of Evermore comes from gnarly ancient Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted at Dionysus Vineyard in 1973 (Nixon was prez) and 1999 (Clinton). The wine unfolds with a nose of cherry, blackberry, earth, tobacco and crushed stone. The palate rocks rich, expressive blackberry, currant, dusty dried herb and espresso flavors, all wrapped in fine, silky tannins. Mouthwatering acidity and dynamic tension will roll this lovely Cabernet Sauvignon seamlessly into the future and beyond.
Food pairing: Beef or Wild Mushroom Wellington
Movie Pairing: It’s a Wonderful Life
FOUNDERS’ NOTES:
If they made 100% Cabernet Sauvignon in Pauillac, it would taste a lot like Evermore. Elegant with all the stuff, not too much. We poured the lovely 2014 at the Wine Spectator New York Wine Experience to rave reviews. Also, really tasty.

"The 2020 Sparkman Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Evermore’ from Columbia Valley is a powerful and concentrated expression, aged for 19 months in 100% new French oak. In the glass, it displays a striking dark purple core with a shimmering red rim, immediately setting the stage for its rich character. The nose is filled with intense aromas of blackberries, crushed blueberries, sweet thyme, cedary herbs, dark chocolate, and a touch of old leather, adding a layer of complexity. On the palate, the tannins are robust yet integrated, supported by a lively acidity that brings balance to the wine. The finish is long, spicy, and packed with black-fruit flavors, making it a bold and compelling Cabernet. 151 cases made. Highly recommended and Editor’s Choice. Drink 2024-2039."

"Aromas of black cherries, dark chocolate and graphite lead to deep, concentrated blue and black fruit layered between cocoa and star anise accents. Fine-grained tannins add a velvety texture, leading to a lingering finish. Drink this exceptional wine now or hold."
